Title IX: Beyond Sports to the Fair Pay Act and Salary Negotiation ( 2:00PM - 5:00PM )

Frequently perceived as only related to sports, the passage of Title IX revealed that change is a continuous process. This program explores the history of Title IX and its present-day impact on salary equity and the role gender plays in salary negotiation. An inspiring documentary on the work of Patsy Mink and her struggles to help craft Title IX will be followed by a panel discussion and question and answer session conducted by a panel of Title IX experts. Breakout sessions following the screening and discussion will focus on salary negotiation at three different career points: First Job, Promotion, and Job Change. Refreshments provided.
