The pursuit of gender equity grows from and is supported by interdisciplinary scholarly investigation into issues concerning women and gender. The CWC seeks to be a hub for gender research by conducting, facilitating, and supporting timely, relevant scholarship and disseminating data that foster institutional and community change. We achieve this goal by:
- Leading or participating in research and grant-writing teams that advance knowledge about current gender equity issues.
- Presenting and disseminating the results of our work though internal and peer-reviewed scholarly publications and relevant academic conferences.
- Convening and leading interdisciplinary working groups on a variety of gender equity issues.
- Supporting the scholarly pursuits of faculty, graduate students, and postdocs and incorporating their contributions into CWC programming and advocacy work.
- Serving on doctoral committees and as thesis advisors.
